Access school files with VPN

Spring Lake Schools uses a system called a VPN to allow school computers while at home to connect to personal and shared files on school servers.

To use the VPN program, follow these steps to verify you are connected:

While at school, click the small arrow in the lower right hand corner of the Taskbar and double-click on the Globe icon.

Next, in the window that appears, enter your SL username and password, and the server name gp.oaisd.org in the Portal box.

Click Apply.

Finally, if everything works correctly, you will see the word Internal displayed.

You can close this window.  You should not have to login again unless your computer is serviced.

When at home, the word Internal will change to the word Connected.

As long as this program is connected, shared folders and your Z Drive should be available when at home.
